On June 3, 2017, Cobb Veterans Memorial Foundation received a $2000 check from the Marine Corps League. Marine Corps League, Lance Corporal Skip Wells Detachment 647 Commandant Tony Gasper presenting a donation to Cobb Veterans Memorial Foundation President/CEO Major General Jim Bankers, U.S. Air Force Retired. Also at the presentation ceremony are (from left to right) ninety-eight (98) year old Harry Kone, WWII and Guadalcanal survivor; Donna Rowe, former U. S. Army Captain and Georgia Military Veterans Hall of Fame Inductee; Master Gunnery Sergeant Art Dunlea, USMC Retired; Cobb County District 2 Commissioner Bob Ott; General Bankers; Commandant Gasper; Gunnery Sergeant Ruben Scott, U.
